Charith Abeysinghe released on bail conditions

Former Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) Horana electorate organizer Charith Abeysinghe, who was charged in a Rs. 120 million bribery case, was released from remand today (30).

Despite being granted bail on July 28, Abeysinghe remained in remand as he could not meet the required bail conditions.

Charith Abeysinghe was released from remand today (30) after fulfilling the bail conditions imposed by the Colombo Magistrate’s Court.

The other two accused in this bribery case are former Justice Minister Wijeyadasa Rajapaksa’s son, lawyer Rakhitha Rajapaksa, and former Executive Director of Airports and Aviation Services Sri Lanka, Aruna Sri Warusahennadige.

The two were released from prison on the 28th after fulfilling the required bail conditions.
