The International Business Council of France has announced that the President of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka, Mr. Anura Kumara Dissanayake, is scheduled to attend a business meeting organized by the International Business Council of France (MEDEF International).
The Council has invited international businessmen in France to attend this business meeting, which will be held on Friday, July 17, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
The meeting will be chaired by Mr. Eric Le Corre, Chairman of the France-Sri Lanka Business Council of MEDEF International and Advisor to the Chairman of the Michelin Group.
The Council says that this meeting with the President, who has inaugurated a new political phase marked by a declared commitment to economic reforms, good governance and a strong dialogue with international partners, will be important in a context where Sri Lanka has seen a gradual economic recovery since 2024.
The International Business Council of France says that the upcoming international business meeting will provide an opportunity to gain a better understanding of the financial and economic situation in Sri Lanka, identify business and investment opportunities for French companies, and directly exchange information with Sri Lankan authorities on the projects and experiences of international businessmen in France.
