"Last Days" Sahurda Sanvasaya Sep 11th in Borella

I had the opportunity to read Thimbiriyagama Bandara's latest collection of short stories, "Last Days". All the short stories in it were written by Thimbiriyagama, turning his own life experiences into literary experiences, and therefore the complexities of human relationships are delicately revealed through those stories.

The trio of short stories "Sudu Vatha", "Mangala Phothura" and "Mahagedara" shocked me the most and the characteristics of a short story writer who expresses symbolic meaning have emerged in those stories. Also, Thimbiri's fine discipline in creation and the skill in carefully adapting situations and events are evident in all the short stories.

 A discussion on the collection of short stories, The Last Days of Thimbar, will be held on the evening of September 11 at the Samudra Bookstore in Borella, where it is expected that there will be a lengthy discussion about the book.
